Mother's Day Card - The Inks are out.....

With Mother's Day just around the corner, I wanted to have a play with our new Sizzix Stamp & Cut set and created this beautiful layered card.  The butterflies and floral stamps are amazing - so intricate and detailed and having the dies to cut the shapes out made crafting so much fun.  I am just loving the raspberry colour at the minute!!!

More ideas for Mother's Day cards will be posted over the next few days

Shabby Chic Box Frame Gift

Hope you have all enjoying your weekend.  I just wanted to share with you this Box-Frame I have made as it is really outside my comfort-zone.  Everyone who knows me will tell you that I like cards to be really simply and not too fussy.  But, recently I have been seeing more and more embellished craft pieces so I thought I would have a play.

I have used the beautify GCD Paris Nights Paper, Sizzix Sewing Room Die, fabric, Stamping Up Soft Suede Ink, White Organza Ribbon, Kaisercraft Bonjour Rub-Ons and our new favourite item - Craft doillies!!!

I am also hooked on making Paper flowers now after watching a demonstration at the recent trade show.  They look for cute and worked really well on the bottom of the dress.

Please pop back soon as we have lots more to show you

Our ICHF "Stitches" Adventure 2012

It is that time of year that we really look forward to - our Trade Show at the NEC - where we get to see all the latest products coming through over the next few months.  The highlight of the day was seeing the "Master" at work - Tim Holtz in action is amazing!!!  We cannot wait for his distress markers to be released!

We were also really lucky to get a signed tag from him made with perfect pearls which will be treasured.

There were so many new products being displayed that we were like children in a sweet shop and had to hold back.  We placed an order with M.I.C on the day and were very impressed that the order arrived yesterday :-) so watch this space as lots of new stock will be arriving over the next few week - (More photos will be added shortly).

Stamping Class - February 2012 - We had sooo much fun

Sorry for not posting but it has been a manic few weeks here at Inspire Creationz towers.....  I just have to share with you some of the projects made at our stamping class at Belgrave Hall on Saturday.  I can honestly say we have a very talented group and we had sooooo much fun.  No one left the class with clean hands - a sign that everyone was enjoying themselves:

What I love about our classes is that we give samples of the cards and layouts and then everyone makes them but with their own twist - it is so good good to see everyone's unique pieces of work.

Pop back soon to hear about our adventures at "Stitches" 2012 - lots more news for you

A Stampin Up Butterfly Card for the Birthday Girl and a few more......

It was my Mum's Birthday this week and wanted to make a card for her using the Hope stamps from Stampin Up so I had a play.  I really wanted to keep the card simple but elegant and really pleased how this has turned out.  I love that the purple stamp works really well with the paper.  Also, not a great photo but the Butterfly is decoupages so that the top stamp has its winds folded out - such as beautiful stamp!!!!!!  I loved it so much that I could not stop there - card 2

Card 3....

All really simple and quick to make - will certainly be making more of these - pop back in a few days for more card ideas as I am now on a roll....

Birthday Card Quick Make... Glad I Got Organised!

Really quick make this morning as I suddenly realised that I needed to get a card in the post today if it was to arrive on time.  A few weeks ago I couldn't think what to make so I spent the evening stamping sheets of designs that I use most often so they were ready for when I needed them - and I am so glad I did!!!!!!

For this card I layered a design sheet onto orange card and then cut out extra pieces to decoupage up to create a raised effect and really like how this has turned out.

Please pop back soon

Single Layered Card - I am converted!!!!

Right from the start I have to say I cannot take credit for the design of this card - that pleasure goes to Jennifer McGuire.  Whilst watching a few videos on YouTube I came across this fab tutorial and as I had the stamps that were used, I just had to have a play and can honestly say I am converted to single layered cards.  You can watch the video here - http://youtu.be/00LS67zJY_8

This simple card really does look beautiful.  I have used crystal stickles rather than glitter - but the effect is just the same and when the light hits the sparkles it really looks special.  I am going to be making more of these.  The raised border around the stamp was created using the hougie board - simple but effective.  Just need to practise my colouring skills more :-)

New Year, New Class - Double Tri-Shutter Cards

Our classes started back yesterday after the Christmas break and I have to say it was good to get back!  Fab to see everyone again and also good to meet our new crafters - a perfect way to spend Saturday afternoon!!!!

We started the class off by making a single tri-shutter card using the amazing First Edition Isabella & New Leaf papers.

Once completed, we then moved on to the double tri-shutter cards which are just perfect for that special occasion.  These cards are pure luxury and will be making lots more!

Details of our classes can be found on our website - http://www.inspirecreationz.com/shop/department/events/

I hope you enjoy xxxx

Pure Elegance ....... Parisian Birthday Cards

Happy New Year!!

Sorry for not posting for a while - we have taken delivery of lots of new stock which has taken up our time.  As soon as the boxes arrive, we really cannot wait to get stuck in.

I have been seeing lots of cards made with a Parisian theme and wanted to have a play with my stamps and new papers.  I just love the black & cream colour scheme which works really well with the black ink of the stamp.  I am certainly going to be making lots more cards using this theme.  Once I had made the card I just had to make a co-ordinating gift tag to go with it...

Close up of the card..
