A Stampin Up Butterfly Card for the Birthday Girl and a few more......

It was my Mum's Birthday this week and wanted to make a card for her using the Hope stamps from Stampin Up so I had a play. I really wanted to keep the card simple but elegant and really pleased how this has turned out. I love that the purple stamp works really well with the paper. Also, not a great photo but the Butterfly is decoupages so that the top stamp has its winds folded out - such as beautiful stamp!!!!!! I loved it so much that I could not stop there - card 2

All really simple and quick to make - will certainly be making more of these - pop back in a few days for more card ideas as I am now on a roll....

Birthday Card Quick Make... Glad I Got Organised!

Really quick make this morning as I suddenly realised that I needed to get a card in the post today if it was to arrive on time. A few weeks ago I couldn't think what to make so I spent the evening stamping sheets of designs that I use most often so they were ready for when I needed them - and I am so glad I did!!!!!!

For this card I layered a design sheet onto orange card and then cut out extra pieces to decoupage up to create a raised effect and really like how this has turned out.

Single Layered Card - I am converted!!!!

Right from the start I have to say I cannot take credit for the design of this card - that pleasure goes to Jennifer McGuire. Whilst watching a few videos on YouTube I came across this fab tutorial and as I had the stamps that were used, I just had to have a play and can honestly say I am converted to single layered cards. This simple card really does look beautiful. I have used crystal stickles rather than glitter - but the effect is just the same and when the light hits the sparkles it really looks special. I am going to be making more of these. The raised border around the stamp was created using the hougie board - simple but effective. Just need to practise my colouring skills more :-)

New Year, New Class - Double Tri-Shutter Cards

Our classes started back yesterday after the Christmas break and I have to say it was good to get back! Fab to see everyone again and also good to meet our new crafters - a perfect way to spend Saturday afternoon!!!!

We started the class off by making a single tri-shutter card using the amazing First Edition Isabella & New Leaf papers.

Once completed, we then moved on to the double tri-shutter cards which are just perfect for that special occasion. These cards are pure luxury and will be making lots more!

Pure Elegance ....... Parisian Birthday Cards

Happy New Year!!

Sorry for not posting for a while - we have taken delivery of lots of new stock which has taken up our time. As soon as the boxes arrive, we really cannot wait to get stuck in.

I have been seeing lots of cards made with a Parisian theme and wanted to have a play with my stamps and new papers. I just love the black & cream colour scheme which works really well with the black ink of the stamp. I am certainly going to be making lots more cards using this theme. Once I had made the card I just had to make a co-ordinating gift tag to go with it...

Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year - Here's to a Crafty 2012!!

Well New Years Eve is upon us and very shortly we will be celebrating with a glass or two to see in the New Year. But first we wanted to take a quick look back over the year as 2011 has been a momentous year for Inspire Creationz.

Firstly, we were able to launch our craft classes in our new workshop inside the grounds of Belgrave Hall, Leicester. These classes have proved really popular and quite a few classes for early 2012 are already fully booked. We really have a good group of supporters that have helped to shape the classes and without this support this new venture may not have worked - THANK YOU everyone!

Secondly, we were also able to open our shop inside Leicester Indoor Market (Floor 3 C10). Offering cardmaking and scrapbooking supplies. Again, a big THANK YOU to our loyal customer base that has helped see our product ranges expand no end!!!!

Here is to a really crafty 2012 - we have lots more plans ready to launch and "things can only get better"!!!!

Quick post tonight, just wanted to share with you this handmade Wooden Snowman Heart decoration I have made for our new shop. When I saw these hearts I just knew what I wanted to make and the Snowman Decoupage & Papers & Ribbon works wonders. Inspire Creationz Moves into Larger Shop - C10 Leicester Indoor Market

Hello All,

Sorry for not posting but we have some really exciting news - we have now opened our new shop inside Leicester Indoor Market - C10. On Saturday, we decorated the space, our husbands built shelving and stock was transferred over in just over 5 hours!! We were all exhausted but it was really worth it.

We started trading from the market in October with a small stall to test the water and were delighted how busy we became very quickly with lots of loyal customers. As the weeks progressed we felt that the space was not big enough for our plans and were very fortunate that the shop opposite became empty - FATE..

Our new shop will allow us to offer demonstrations & classes, sell handmade gifts and cards as well as vastly expanding our product ranges to include Tim Holtz, Pro-Markers, Kaisercraft, Echo Park, 7Gypsies and lots lots more... The new Kaisercraft tag pads are amazing!

If you are in Leicester or are passing, please come and say hello. We are on the 3rd Floor, C10 and offer a loyalty card for our customers.

Quick Christmas Cards - Still Need to Make Lots More..

Hello,

Where has the time gone - only 14 days left before Christmas and now on a mad card making frenzy. I always leave cards until late as I seem to get more inspiration that way but there is really not many more posting days left.

I just love the leaf stamp that I used to make these wreaths for the centre of the cards and just by adding different backing papers and bazzill card can really make each card different. Better get back to it, please pop back soon

Fabric Hearts - more sewing treats made this week

Really busy day today with orders to get out, a trip to the gym and a determination to get my sewing machine out again. Just loving these easy to make heart bookmarks at the minute and have made over 8 now in all different colours and patterns - will load some pics shortly.

What has made these so much easier is my new Sizzix Heart Nesties - lots of different size hearts which when used on the Bigshot also cuts fabric :-) - so much easier and not reliant upon by drawing skills - just perfect.

Better get cracking, my son has asked for an Alien Cushion so need to cut out the pieces and finish the last few hearts before school finishes.

More Stamping Fun - French Foliage

Last Saturday we held our last crop Session of the year and thought I would try out my new Stampin Up French Foliage Stamps whilst I had the opportunity. If I am honest, when the new catalogue came out I really was not keen on these stamps. It was only when I started to see cards and projects made with them that it gave me the inspiration to see the flexibility this set has to offer.

I am really pleased with how this turned out and have already made lots of backing papers (inside of the card) ready for future projects which I will list soon - please pop back soon for more cardmaking inspiration...

More Stamping Fun with Masks - Xmas Hedgehogs...

I just love Sunday mornings - Coffee, Sunday Papers and a little time to craft for blog - just perfect.

Thought I would share this stamping quick make with you. I just love this card as it is so simple and allows me to use the masking technique with the stamp to get that triple effect. I have then used gold Stickles to highlight the Hedgehog spines and stars - finished off with mirri card and multi-coloured ribbon.Stamping

Inspired Owl Pillow - Sewing Fun!!!

Sorry for not posting for a while - it has been really busy at Inspire Creationz recently - lots of new stock, craft classes and getting our new Market Stall at Leicester's Indoor Market (C12) up and running. But I finally found an hour or two and really wanted to get my sewing machine out that I bought in July but was gathering dust on the floor.

I had seen lots of owl cushions for sale at craft fairs locally and really wanted one for my daughter so I thought I would have a go. All I can say is daughter is over the moon and has not let go yet! Once I got going, I got to grips with the sewing machine without too much hassle and I am now coveting fabric like I do with papers. Cardmaking will always be my first love but sewing is fast becoming a new hobby of mine. My son is now after an Alien Cushion so will keep you posted on how I get on

Bags, Tags & Boxes Class Pics - Let's Get Crafty....

Really enjoyed our Bags, Tags & Boxes class today - if I am honest I always look forward to this class as it allows everyone to experiment and use cardmaking technique but going that little bit further. Twisted Easel - Fizzy Moon Christmas Card

I just love Twisted Easel cards at the minute as they look beautiful standing up and so special!!!!

Here is one I made last night using the new Fizzy Moon Christmas Decoupage and red card. The Decoupage is easy to use as it is die-cut for you so do not need to cut out the pieces. I am going to personalise this card to give away but don't want to spoil the surprise just yet....

Boo.... Halloween Treat Bags & Card

Quick post today, but just wanted to share these Halloween Treat Bags and card which I have made ready for next Monday.

Lots more bags to make and a trip to the supermarket to get some sweets to fill them but getting there!!!. Just love these die-cuts made using the Cricut Machine - must have a proper play soon!!!!!

Really enjoying crafting again - lots of ideas just need to get them down on paper but right now a good cup of coffee is needed - please pop back soon...

New First Edition Paper Pad - NEW LEAF - Just Had To Have A Play...

Hello,

The fab new First Edition New Leaf paper pad arrived this morning and I couldn't wait to have a play. When I saw this sheet I just knew what card I wanted to make and what stamps would work well and have to say I am really pleased with the results.

I just love the colours on these papers. I know they are called papers but at 200gsm, these heavy weight card stock sheets are a real delight. The pad includes 8 double sided designs and 8 glittered sheets in lovely autumnal colours - these are not to be missed - a must for every craft box.

Xmas Cardmaking Class Photos - Inspire Creationz

Hello All,

What a lovely morning - cold but fresh.. I just wanted to share with you a picture of the cards we made yesterday at our cardmaking class. we went for two cards - one an easel card and the other using our new Spellbinders Banner Dies. Each card needed to use embossing folders, dies, stamps and embellishments so lots of crafting was had by all and everyone got to try new techniques.

What I really like is that as much as we provide a sample card to follow - every card looked unique. Thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon crafting.

Quick Makes Christmas Cards - Time to Use Up Scraps....

Thinking of You card Design - Attempting Watercolouring!!!

Last night I had fun with water colouring as I wanted to try a new technique and finished up with this card which I am really pleased with. I love this colour anyway and the stamps have been in my kit for a while but hardly used - well not anymore!!!!!!!

I wanted a card to let a family member know I am thinking of them as they recover from on operation and "Get Well Soon" just did not feel appropriate - I hope they like this card - fingers crossed.

It's Christmas Card time again......

Now that the Children have gone back to school, I feel the time is right to start making Christmas Cards - but want something different this year. As soon as it was launched, I absolutely loved the First Edition Christmas Joy - especially the colour scheme as the oranges, teals & cream really offer card makers a contemporary look & feel to the cards. Birthday Card for my Son ...

I cannot believe where the time has gone - my little boy is now 7 and not so little!!!!!

He is really into aliens and monsters at the minute so wanted to make a card that I know he would like. After searching for embellishments I remembered that I had the Build a Monster set from Stampin Up which was just perfect for this card.

Over at Inspire Creationz, we are also big fans of Card Candi at the minute and just love how they add the finishing touches to cards with little effort.

Experimenting with Colour & Paper Pleating ...

What a lovely day today!!!! Took the children to the park for a picnic with friends which was enjoyed by all and still managed to find 5 minutes to craft and thought I would share this card with you.

I found these stickers in a local craft shop and just loved them but had not used them on any projects so thought I would have a go as I wanted to experiment with different colours than my usual at the minute - does anyone else get stuck on a particular colour?

I also wanted to have a go at pleating paper before I stuck it to the card base as I had tried this with ribbon but wanted to see if it could be done with card and I am really pleased how this has come out - very effective!

Well, I started to clear my pile of craft magazines this morning as it looked ready to tumble over and cover the floor and found these lovely printed images which came free and just couldn't resist having a play.

Let's just say the magazines still need sorting but lots of fun has been had and I've even tried using new embellishments such as the flowers and Card Candi. As soon as my second card has dried fully I will post another picture. We would love to hear what freebies you have enjoyed using .....

Wedding Commission for a Happy Customer

Here is our latest project for a very happy customer. They needed a unique gift for a Wedding they are attending over the weekend and I had in mind just the thing!!! We have created lots of these frames now for a Baby Boy, Baby Girl, Weddings and contemporary home decor - all personalised and with a choice of colours.

Working with Acetate Craft Class - Lots of Fun...

We held our "Working with Acetate" class yesterday and really enjoyed it. I don't often use acetate on cards but will certainly be doing so now! We made two projects that used different techniques and can honestly say that my favourite was the card pictured above. By embossing acetate you really can create different effects, especially with printed acetate!!!! All of the cards the ladies created looked beautiful - especially the origami Butterflies!!!

Anniversary Card for my lovely OH

Just a quick post today as we are planning our classes for the next few months but I wanted to share this card I made for my 5th Wedding Anniversary which was last weekend. I can post it now as I have already given it to my lovely Hubby...

I just love the hearts templates that come free with Simply Homemade magazine this month and cannot stop using them and love this colour theme at the minute - lots more hearts being cut out so pop back soon and see what else we have made this week.

Made In Leicestershire Craft Event - Belgrave Hall

Just back from the Made in Leicester Craft Fair at Belgrave Hall. We met lots of lovely people and have taken bookings for our forthcoming craft classes.

I just thought I would share with you some of the Post It Note Holders we made for the day. I really enjoyed making these and were well received today. I will definitely be making more as they are so simple but really effective.

Time to go and unload the car before I sit down and relax. I will post in the week pictures of some of the other gifts we made.

First Edition Love Letters Wedding Day Card

Good Morning All,

The fabulous First Edition paper packs are not to be missed! - Love Letters is my favourite so far but we have just taken delivery of the Christmas range so this may change. This evening I am going to a Wedding Reception and wanted a card to take with me and had been struggling to make a card that was modern and not too fussy until I saw a card made by the fabulous Sue Burrows and knew straight away what I wanted to do.

So with Love Letters in hand and the amazing templates which came with this months Simply Homemade magazine the card above was created. I am pleased with how this has turned out - could maybe have added some Stickles around the edges of the hearts but have run out - why is it we always want craft supplies we don't have!!!!!

Tri-Shutter Card Class Pics

Morning All,

Just wanted to share with you the card we made in our class yesterday. We have been having a lot of requests for these cards and I have to say that they are my favourite at the minute as I love embellishments!!!! With this demo, I really wanted to use colours outside of my comfort zone and when I found this patterned paper from the My Minds Eye Laundry Line Pad, I just knew that I wanted a brown and cream theme - this can work for both male and female cards.

The class got to use lots of Cuttlebug Embossing Folders to create texture, Spellbinders to create frames and lots and lots of other embellishments. It was lovely to see that whilst following our demo, each card made was unique and has given us lots more ideas. The class then made their own templates using the Hougie Board for them to take home so that they more after the class - we cannot wait to see their creations...

Lots of Stamping Fun!!!!

Good Morning,

I thought I would share with you all the card we made in our class yesterday. Rubber Stamping is always a popular class so we thought we would go beyond just stamping an image for a topper. We stamped the backgrounds, the flowers are double stamped and then covered in Glossy Accents which dried just in time for the end of the class!

Once the cards were made we then spent over a hour having a play with lots of different stamps, inks, embossing powders, chalks and watercolours. The class made lots of toppers to take home with them. Lots of fun was had by all...

Not craft I know.....but I just wanted to share some pictures taken in the grounds of Belgrave Hall Craft Village where our Studio is located as it looked beautiful in the sun yesterday:

First Edition Animal Antics Card...

I have been a fan on the First Edition Animal Antics paper range for a few weeks now and have finally got round to making a card with the chipboards and paper. The papers in this range are ideal for a New Baby card or for young Birthday cards and they make a nice change from pinks & blues

Happy Father's Day

Morning All,

I can post this card picture now as it has been delivered to my wonderful Dad and he doesn't look on here that often. I fell in love with this paper when I found a scrap in the bottom of my card box just big enough for this card. I hope he likes it and wanted to wish him a very "Happy Father's Day". Dad you are one in a million....

I loved this layout so much that I made a similar card for my Husband from our children.

The children are jumping up and down waiting for him to wake up but he deserves a lay-in today and then we have breakfast in bed planned (if I can stop the children waking him up early!!). A day for spoiling him rotten I think!!!!

Craft Classes - Bag, Tags & Boxes

Hello All,

Sorry for not posting for a while, it has been a really busy week and we have not had chance to come on here. We have taken delivery of lots of new stock and planned lots of ideas for our classes - we never stop still!!!

Just thought I would show you the two projects we made in our last class - a Milk Carton, ideal for mini sweets & treats, and a card /scrapbook page / bag. These bags are so cute as when undone, you can scrapbook, decoupage or layer up the inside - here is one I made earlier and is just waiting for me to decorate with photos & embellishments:

The Hougie Board came in really handy for these projects and the Milk Cartons are the perfect size for children's treats - and can be made out of 1 piece of A4 card!

I should be getting ready for the week ahead but thought I would show you this Gone Fishing card I have made ready for Father's Day. Neither my Dad or my Hubby are into fishing but just love this Papermania stamp. Hope you all enjoyed the Bank Holiday break - now back to reality!!!!

Just thought we would share with you a card I have made for a Wedding / Anniversary. I had some spare flowers left over from a "Make & Take" event held by the lovely Victoria of Blue Jelly Stampin. So I had fun running the flowers through my different embossing folders to make the layered flower and then found this lovely glittered cardstock which worked perfectly together. I am really pleased how this has turned out....

Pics from Yesterdays Craft Class - Just love these boxes!!!!!

Just thought we would share with you some pictures from our class yesterday. We had been asked to make Masculine cards with Fathers Day coming up on the 19th June and after looking through our craft stash, we had lots of stamps and embellishments for golfers & footballers but not everyone is into sport so we thought we would go for the neutral look instead.

Treat Boxes

These were made by die-cutting 2 Sizzix Ornate Frame shapes and embossing them using the Cuttlebug Dots Embossing folder.

We then made the boxes by cutting 2 rectangles ( 1 = 14cm x 10cm & 1 = 13.5cm x 10cm) and scoring all 4 sides at the 1" mark using our Hougie Boards. Once all the lines had been scored, we then cut along the long edge joins to allow us to fold up the flaps to make the boxes. All joins were then sealed using double sided tape.

We also used a Dovecraft 1.5" circle punch to add shape to the top box (lid). Once the boxes were made, double sided tape was then added to the bottom of both boxes and secured to the Ornate Frame Die Cuts.

As a finishing touch, ribbon was then added to the top box for decoration. The class then decorated the top of the box as they wished.

With this class we thought we would go for a sketch layout and work through a simple but versatile card structure - what do you think? We also got the class to try out our new Card Candi for the embellishments:

Me To You Birthday Card - Creativity Inspired

Morning All,

Where is the Sun for Bank Holiday???? As long as it stays dry on Monday that is all that I can think about at the minute - family BBQ in the rain will be interesting!

I have been having fun with the new Me To You stamps and embossing folder which came with the latest issue of Creativity magazine. I love this range and when flicking through the magazine I saw a card very similar to the one I made so thought I would give it a go. The sizing used in the magazine would not fit the card blank they used so I have made my own sizing to make it work and just love how this has turned out. I am sure I will be making more cards with this cute bear over the next week or two.

New "Me To You" Baby Card & Tag - just love this new range!!!!!

Over the weekend I thought I would treat myself to the new Me To You range of cardmaking materials and can honestly say the decoupage pack is amazing!!!!!

I know you cannot see it properly but the round tag has been decoupaged and as all of the pieces are die-cut for you, there is no need to get the scissors out. The card has been made with the matching stickers which are lovely, but the decoupage is still my favourite.

I have used them on these projects for a New Baby card & tag but there are approx. 4 different designs in each pack so suited for all occasions and are not to be missed. Also if you buy the Creativity Magazine this issue you get a fab dots embossing folder and a really cute Me To You stamp - grab it whilst you can!

Another really quick make!!!!!!! Birthday Card

Afternoon All, Just wanted to share with you another quick make. Recently I had a quiet afternoon, so I stamped a number of flower images and made them into toppers ready for when they were needed and can honestly say, good job I did!!!!

It really helped when this afternoon I realised I need a card in a hurry and didn't need to get all of my craft stash out to make a card before the school run. Good job as well as most of my craft stash has been packed away to make way for a new kitchen.

I am going to make more toppers now - it's good to always be prepared!!!!

Morning All,

Was looking forward to a lovely sunny day today but have been woken up by rain!!! Hope it clears.

Here is my latest card I have made - I just love these colours and stamps as they are so versatile and help to produce really elegant cards. I cannot decide if I like Baja Breeze or Pacific Point the best - just like them all! Will be making lots more of these in new colours I promise...

I had better go and get ready, we have a class today making Memory Books using our new Hougie Boards, I hope the class are as excited as we are about these new boards as they are just fab and worth every penny!

Quick Makes - Why can I Never Find Anything?????

Bank holiday Monday and trying to sort out my craft materials. I am having a new kitchen and everything has had to be moved out our conservatory to make way for our new project. So, I needed a card in a hurry and guess what? Yes, I couldn't find anything to I wanted!!!!!! Bought lots of new crafting stash recently but could I lay my hands on it - must get more organised!!!!!!!

Struggling at the minute with my crafting mojo and not being able to find anything was the last straw. But after lots of faffing, here is the quick card I made - really simply but effective - just what I needed.

Off to start clearing out craft stash - might be a while as I hoard everything and a real messy crafter - hope I am not the only one?

Been having a play with my new stamps and ink this afternoon and have a new favourite colour - Stampin Up Bashful Blue!!! The inks and papers work really well together and make crafting easy as everything co-ordinates. I just want it all!!!!!

Our Snowdon Adventure - No Crafting Sorry!

Sorry for not posting for a while but we have been exploring North Wales and the delights of Mount Snowdon. I am so proud of my two little monkeys - there is no stopping us now....

We are already planning on going back in the summer as it is such a beautiful area and so much to see and do. Mount Snowdon is amazing - to sit at the top and see all around you is out of this world.

My New Stampin Up Favourite Colour - Baja Breeze

I have finally found a few spare minutes to play with my new Stampin Up stash (Baja Breeze Ink & Elegant Soiree Paper Pack) that has been winking at me for weeks as wanted to look at it - not open it, mad I know!!!!

Does anyone else do this - buy new stash and like it so much that you just don't want to use it?

Anyway, the Baja Breeze colour is now my favourite by a long way - I just wish the Elegant Soiree paper came as wall paper - a girl can dream!

Sense of Time Birthday Card

After a busy week of classes, events and collecting new stock, I needed to relax and thought I would try out my new stamps.

I just loved this stamp set and could not resist heat embossing in bronze embossing powder as it was just the right colour. I also stamped the small cogs you see down the right hand side. I will certainly be using this set again.

Better go, a day of sorting out from our craft class yesterday and the new stock that has arrived - have a good weekend - lots of coffee may be required!!!

Paper Folding Fun - Birthday Card

Just thought I would share this card after lots of fun with paper folding......

I first made this centre piece about a year ago and think it looks fab on cards but this time around I could not remember how to do it - lots of screwed up paper later I finally figured it out. They say practice makes perfect!!!!! Good job as well as this was my last sheet of this paper and had already stuck the boarder to the card

Will be making more of these and may try adapting it to create different effects.

Just back from "Stitches" & got to see Tim Holtz in Action!!!!

Just a quick post to share with you that we are back from "Stitches" at the NEC in Birmingham and have lots of fab new stock arriving within the next few weeks and we got to see the fabulous Tim Holtz in action!! Sharon even got him to sign her Tim Holtz "Compendium of Curiosities" book - how jealous am I !!!!!

The show was bigger and better than last year and certainly gave us lots of inspiration to bring fab new brands to Inspire Creationz - we will post again in the next few weeks once we have had a play with all the new goodies - we just wanted it all....

As the Snow came down - I have been Crafty!!!

The snow has not stopped all day!!!!! I have to say I love the snow though so enjoying it at the minute.

My two children attend different schools which are next door to each other (Infants & Juniors) and guess what........ the infants were open but the juniors were closed - daughter thought it was great that her brother had to go to school whilst she played in the snow.....

But at least it gave me craft time and whilst having a clear up I found these Pepper Christmas papers and love the frog image and red glitter card - very festive - off now to make some more

Elegance Birthday Card - New Stamps - Just Had To Have A Play!!!!!

I thought I would treat myself to these new stamps from QVC as they were being demonstrated by Dawn Bibby.

When they arrived I could not wait to have a play and whilst I have only recently started to enjoy stamping, I found these to be a dream to use. To stamp the image I used Stampin Up Chocolate Chip which is just divine!!!!!

Chrismas in Pink Cards - Quick Makes

Christmas is coming and we are attending a few Fairs this year so need a stock of quick make, (but effective), Christmas Cards on standby.

I am not normally a fan of pink but these Cards worked really well with the embellishment.

I am also a converted fan of Stickles Glitter Glue - just prefect for that added sparkle!!!!!

Pepper Christmas Snowman Shaker Card

Like all crafters, I do not throw anything way and this came in really handy when making this card.

The snow globe was made from packaging from double-sided tape and works really well on this card. The new Pepper Christmas Decoupage was also used and is my favourite this year.

Christmas Baubles - New Card for Christmas

Here is our latest Christmas Card - I just love these new bauble stamps from Papermania. You might be able to see that I have stamped the image twice and then decoupaged up the layers for added effect.

I also really like the Stampin Up! vintage Vogue set and thought the flower border worked well on this card.

I have set myself a challenge to make 20 cards this weekend so better make a start!!!!! Pop back on Sunday to see if I have made it....

Latest Designs - Stamping Fun!!!!

Been having fun again with stamps and ink.............

Here are 4 cards I have made using Stampin Up! stamps and melon mambo paper, ribbon & inks.

I didn't want to use backing paper so I created my own on white card by stamping a random circular pattern which worked really well with the ribbon and cake stamp. I am going to try this again in lots of different colour ways - just new a few spare minutes!!!!!!

Lots of Fun with Cosmic Shimmer Mist!!!!!!

I have had so much fun this weekend trying out new products.

My in-laws offered to have the children for the weekend so I indulged in a bit of me time and created a LOT of mess with my craft stash - but I certainly enjoyed it......

I had never tried Cosmic Shimmer Mist before but had seen a beautiful card made with it in my local craft shop so thought I would have a go.

With these cards I stamped the images in white ink and then embossed them with clear powder. Once completely dry I then sprayed the Cosmic Shimmer Mist all over and left outside to dry. I will certainly go back for more colours now as I was really pleased with the effect.

Here are the other cards I promised I would load yesterday (really sorry, ran out of time!!!!). All have been made with the HunkyDory Perfect Parisienne Kit which is just Divine!!!

This set is really luxurious and I still have lots left to make more cards....

This is my favourite card, made with the pyramage sheet - for some reason I just love images of the Eiffel Tower at the mo and this set just really stood out.

Got My Crafting Mojo Back......Hunkydory Perfect Parisienne Kit

Nothing spurs me on more than new stock and I just could not wait to get my hands on this new HunkyDory Perfect Parisienne Kit I have had my eye on for a while.

I have had crafters block for the past week and no matter how many times I have sat down to try and craft nothing has worked so thought I would give this kit ago and I am really pleased with what this kit has to offer.

My first project was a folder (big red card in the middle) which holds 5 cards and envelopes inside. I have only photographed 2 cards here as the others are very similar.

Teachers Thank You Cards Ready for Tomorrow

Here is the card I have made for my children's teachers. I have made 4 of the same as my two children both have 2 teachers who are fantastic.

They have all helped bring my two on this year - 8 year old who is over-confident and 5 year old who is shy have come on leaps & bounds - so I wanted to make a card to say a big thank you.
